It takes about 2 hours to complete and features only a gentle elevation gain of approx. 100 metres, making it suitable for all levels and perfect for enjoying breathtaking alpine views.

Tip: Stop for a coffee or hot chocolate in one of Lech's cozy cafés before heading back or taking a bus.

 

Lech to Oberlech and Skyspace-Lech

This 4 km trail leads from Lech up to Oberlech, offering beautiful views of the valley and snow-covered landscapes. The route takes around 1.5 to 2 hours and involves an elevation gain of about 200 metres. Once in Oberlech, visit the fascinating Skyspace-Lech, a light installation by James Turrell that blends nature, art, and architecture seamlessly.

Tip: The Skyspace is best visited at sunrise or sunset for a magical experience.

 

Lech to Zug or Älpele

A charming 7 km route that takes approx. 2.5 hours. Starting in Lech, the path winds its way along the river through a fairytale-like winter wonderland, eventually reaching the quiet hamlet of Zug or the Älpele restaurant. The gentle ascent of 150 metres makes this a relaxing yet rewarding walk.

Tip: The Älpele is an excellent spot for a delicious lunch with local specialties before heading back.
