Welcome at the Arlberg house
Your feel-good accommodation with tradition
Hosts with heart and soul
Hannelore and Thomas Eggler. For many ski winters the two hosts have welcomed new guests and dear regulars at the Arlberghaus Hotel in Zürs together with their committed team. With enthusiasm and new ideas son David as well has now joined the family business. Whether families, nature-lovers or active holiday-makers: Top priorities are always relaxation, recovery, the personal touch – simply the passion of being hosts.
At 1,720 metres, ski fans and mountain-lovers find the perfect starting point for limitless nature pleasure here at the Arlberg – whether with skis or without. More than 100 years of ski competence make the region so unique and unmistakable. Hard to imagine that today’s world-famous Zürs was once an alpine hamlet that was inhabited in summer only. Today the accommodation offer – at our Arlberghaus Hotel – provides comfort, cosiness and direct access to the skiing resort. But the charm of the past remains.
Look forward to enjoyable days in a fantastic nature setting, far away from everyday life, stress, noise and hectic business. Arrive and give yourself into our hands. We look forward to you!
Pioneer Franz Eggler
As early as in 1931, Franz Eggler demonstrated courage and visionary skills when he had the Arlberghaus in Zürs built in form of a modern timber construction, despite the economic crisis prevailing at the time. He was also one of the ski pioneers and supported the construction of Austria’s first ski lift. Erika Eggler managed the newly created business centre with heart and soul, all the way from 1948 until her 85th birthday. Her husband, the professional photographer Karl Eggler, set up Austria’s first professional colour laboratory in the 1950's, right in the Arlberghaus!
