In Zürs, you will find our 4* Arlberghaus Hotel right at the piste, at an altitude of 1,720 metres, amidst the famous Arlberg skiing resort that has reached worldwide fame as “cradle of alpine skiing“. Even before 1900, people were skiing at the Arlberg, the first skiing course in Zürs was held in 1906. In 1937, Austria’s first ski lift was set up in Zürs. One of the 4 partners was our great-grandfather – Franz Eggler. Austria’s first cable car designed for winter operation, the Galzigbahn, was built in St. Anton.
Next to Zürs, the towns of Lech, Stuben, St. Christoph and St. Anton count as belonging to the Ski Arlberg region. Zürs lies in the heart of the Arlberg. The facet-rich mountain world impresses its visitors anew again and again and offers a true ski Eldorado for winter sports fans at altitudes between 1,300 and 2,800 metres above sea level.
