The Arlberg region, with Zürs right in the center, is the cradle of alpine skiing. People have been skiing here since before 1900, the first ski course took place in Zürs in 1904 and the first ski lift in Austria was built here in 1937. Whereas in those days 150 people per hour were transported, today the modern ski lift is able to transport up to 3600 people.
We have provided here a selection of links giving information about our region, the lifts and how to get here.
Should you have any further questions, we would be happy to be of assistance.
